Literally translated as "life heat", Biotherm is unique in its dedication to creating skin care solutions based on a single but very special ingredient. Working deep in the French Alps researching the hot springs that well up from deep within the earth biologists discovered Pure Extract of Thermal Plankton. After twenty years of research an exclusive technique was created to preserve this thermal concentrate in its purest and most active state. This is the Biotherm patented secret which is complemented by mineral salts, essential trace elements and proteins. The company was founded in Monaco in 1950 becoming part of the L'Oreal family of companies in 1958.
